Dr.Necati Aydin
Dr. Aydin is a Professor of Economics at Alfaisal University and the Executive Director of the Alfaisal Corporate Governance Center. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Finance, a master’s in International Economics, and two doctoral degrees—one in Economics and another in Education. Before joining Alfaisal, Dr. Aydin served as a researcher at Florida State University and the Florida TaxWatch Research Institute for nine years and taught at Florida A&M University and Tallahassee Community College. Over the course of his career, he has completed more than forty research projects, authored over ten books, and published numerous peer-reviewed articles. His work has been presented at leading international conferences and prestigious institutions such as Harvard and Cambridge. Dr. Aydin’s research spans a wide range of areas including government budget analysis, economic impact studies, tourism, higher and virtual education, information technology, and healthcare economics. In recent years, his focus has expanded to Islamic economics, corporate governance, development economics, subjective well-being, and neuroeconomics. He has successfully led multiple funded research projects with a combined budget exceeding 4.5 million Saudi riyals, supported by KACST, SAGIA, and CMA. His scholarship has appeared in top academic journals such as the Journal of Business Ethics, International Journal of Social Economics, and International Journal of Islamic and Middle Eastern Finance and Management. Combining deep theoretical insights with practical applications, Dr. Aydin continues to make significant contributions to advancing both conventional and Islamic economics, while shaping global conversations on governance, ethics, and human well-being.
